Unproductive? You’re probably just bored

It’s hard to be productive, when your work bores you. It’s hard not to be productive, when your work inspires you. Try this When you’re feeling unproductive, look at your work and determine what part or parts aren’t inspiring you. That’s where your productivity answer is. Make it more interesting. Change or replace the uninspiring stuff, with exciting, engaging alternatives. Sometimes it’s as easy as doing your work from a different location, using different hardware, using different software or using different pens, etc. When work is inspiring, productivity is no longer an issue. Because inspiration brings it’s own motivation. Unproductive? Sharon Srivastava: Leading With Composure Through Presence

Image
In a cultural moment defined by speed, noise, and the pressure to perform, Sharon Srivastava offers a different orientation. The work centers on a principle that sounds simple but proves demanding in practice: presence is not a passive state, but a deliberate one. Steadiness, sustained under conditions of uncertainty, becomes a form of strength that requires attention, repetition, and a willingness to slow down enough to notice what is actually there. Based in California and New York, Sharon Srivastava has built a body of work grounded in close observation of daily life. The writing draws from the structure of a morning ritual, the rhythm of seasons, and the wisdom embedded in ordinary acts that many people pass over without thought. The result is a perspective that resonates with readers looking not for urgency, but for equilibrium. Presence as a Leadership Framework For Sharon Srivastava , leadership does not begin in a boardroom or with a title. It begins in how a perso...

Make AI grow your business

Image
If you work as a consultant or advisor, and your business isn’t growing like crazy, you’re probably selling the wrong thing. However, with a shift of focus, you can make AI greatly increase the value of your services AND drive up demand . This will sound weird, but it isn’t. 18-years ago, I built a service that’s not only AI-proof. AI is making it increasingly valuable. Here’s what this means to you and your business in June 2026 (and for years to come). Your AI opportunity I’ve written quite a bit over the past few years, about the impact of AI on small marketing agencies. The services these agencies offered, included; SEO, copywriting, AdWords, social media marketing, content marketing, graphic design, ad buying, flyers, social media management, marketing plans, etc. For a few years now, all those services have been offered faster, cheaper (or for free), by AI providers. As a result, small and medium-sized marketing p...

Precision at Scale: The Career and Professional Philosophy of Anubhav Mittal

Anubhav Mittal has spent more than two decades solving the kind of problems that define enterprise value, not in theory, but in execution. As VP and Global Head of Business Development and M&A at ADM, a global agricultural processing and nutrition company, Anubhav Mittal oversees capital allocation decisions that shape the company’s long-term strategic trajectory. His record includes approximately $10 billion in executed transactions across acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, carve-outs, and strategic partnerships, a body of work that spans multiple industries, geographies, and deal structures. That record did not emerge from a single organization or a single discipline. It was built across ADM, Kellogg, and Booz & Company, and grounded in an academic foundation that includes an MBA from Harvard Business School, a B.Tech. from IIT Kanpur, where Anubhav Mittal graduated in the top 5% of his class, and professional designations as both a CFA and CMA. The combinat...

Glick Law Group was founded to help employees pursue claims involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage violations, and related workplace concerns. Noam Glick’s Professional Foundation The path to employment law began with academic work in economics and environmental studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz. It motivates people to take action, now

Image
Here’s the foundation of all successful marketing. In just 7 words. It motivates people to take action, now. I’ll break that down into 3 steps. Then, I’ll show you how to put it to work for your business. It motivates people : It gives them a compelling reason. A reason, which is powerful enough to grab their attention and generate enough desire within them that they’re ready for the next step. To take action : It makes a direct request. It asks them to; call us, click here, proceed to checkout, visit us, read this, subscribe , etc. Now : It asks them, whilst their motivation is high, to take the action required. Right now. Straight away. That’s because even if they love what you said and are genuinely interested, their attention will soon jump onto the next thing. This could be a notification on their phone, a delivery person might arrive with a package for them or they suddenly notice it’s time to meet their friend for lunch… ...

Nearly 1 in 3 Washington Traffic Deaths in 2024 Involved a Drunk Driver

New data analysis released today by Phillips Law Firm confirms that alcohol-impaired driving remained Washington State’s second-deadliest road behavior in 2024, contributing to 239 fatalities and representing 32.6% of the state’s total traffic death toll for the year. More alarming still, the analysis reveals that the overwhelming majority of those alcohol-involved deaths were not caused by drivers marginally over the legal limit — they were caused by drivers who were dangerously, and in many cases catastrophically, intoxicated. Of Washington’s 239 alcohol-related traffic fatalities in 2024, 151 — 63% — involved a driver with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .15 or higher, nearly double the state’s legal limit of .08. Those 151 deaths represent 20.7% of Washington’s entire 2024 traffic fatality total of 730: more than one in five Washington road deaths involved a driver who was not simply over the legal limit but operating a vehicle at a level of...

How Kingsley And Company Approaches Urban Redevelopment Through Community-Focused Planning

Urban redevelopment projects can shape housing accessibility, commercial investment patterns, infrastructure use, and long-term neighborhood stability. In cities where some communities have experienced prolonged underinvestment, redevelopment strategies often influence broader economic and social conditions beyond the construction phase itself. Kingsley And Company, a minority-owned commercial real estate investment and development firm based in Cincinnati, Ohio, approaches redevelopment through a planning model centered on sustainability, operational continuity, and responsible community integration. Projects such as Victory Vistas reflect the firm’s emphasis on redevelopment strategies intended to balance commercial viability with long-term neighborhood functionality. Rather than viewing redevelopment as a short-term transaction, Kingsley And Company focuses on planning structures designed to support lasting operational performance and sustained community value. Community-Foc...
